Little things
It's the little things:
An instagram post which leads to meeting some very fabulous sewing ladies;
A comment on a photo that completely changed the way I think about and approach fitting;
Taking time to measure and tape and carefully alter a pattern piece so that the muslin is on the money and enjoying that as much as the actual sewing;
The responses I've had to my last post about the article I wrote:
All these little things, build one up, restore the sewjo and remind that sewing isn't a chore, it is something to savour and relax into and meditatively work through the process.
And the community is always there - it's got my back and it makes me smile. I LOVE that.
One day very soon, I will share some of the things I've sewn recently - or am now working on - as there hasn't been a whole world of sewing in these parts of late. Until then I'll be reconnecting with Janome and Juki and enjoying each cut, pin and stitch.
